There shall be eternal summer in the grateful heart.  -Celia Thaxter

It’s late August, and my boys are all tucked back in to their school rhythms. 7th, 5th, and 3rd grade this year!

It amazes me, every year around this time, that it really is the start of a new school year. Where did the Summer go? And that’s when I need to count some of my favorite things, from the summer.

So here goes, 10 of my late summer treasures:

  1. My guys, the 4 Kings in my life
My guys, the Baltic Sea, Sweden
2.     writing space, outdoors

  1. So much beauty and color in your paintings and in your life. Thank you for sharing.

    1. Thank you, Erika! Color seems to be the air I breathe … :o)

  2. My favorites are lazy mornings, the relaxing evenings on the patio, and last minute barbecues with friends. We are always much more agreeable and spontaneous when the weather is nice!

By the way, the field of sunflowers could be right here in Kansas. I’ll pretend for a moment you took that picture here and that you are near.
